Introducing Michael Parisi
Santa Cruz once again proves to be a hotbed of innovation, creativity and people willing to lend their talents and time to community organizations. Putting decades of experience and expertise together with the challenge of conceptualizing and designing unique exhibits for our emerging Children’s Museum proved fruitful, as our team worked on our budding agriculture exhibit, as well as, our state-of-the-art nanotechnology exhibit idea.
One of our team members is multi-talented Michael Parisi, a local software developer and graphic artist, who brought his prodigious creativity and “out-of-the-box” thinking to the group. After working as a 3D artist and designer for big names like Nickelodeon and Dreamworks, Michael started his own company, LLC , www.xylemandphloem.net. His newly released iPad game, “Isopod: The Roly Poly Science Game” whose theme is conservation of biodiversity, is full of fun science for children and adults. Check out the Santa Cruz Sentinel article about Michael and his work.
He’s also on Pinterest, Facebook, and you can see more of his work on You-tube. Michael’s passion for combining science, education and fun are evident as he works with our team. We will be keeping you posted on our exhibit planning and design process and progress.
