When and where is the Gala happening?The Gala will be held on November 16, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Seascape Golf Course, located at 1 Clubhouse Drive, Aptos, CA.

What is the dress code?The dress code is Casino Chic. While formal or cocktail attire is encouraged, you are welcome to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.

What food and drinks will be available?There will be passed hors d'oeuvres and grazing tables. A liquid nitrogen ice cream station will open at 8:30 PM. Your ticket includes two drink tickets (poker participants get three), with additional drinks available for purchase. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will be provided.

Will there be entertainment?Casino Games: Each guest gets $100 in chips to start. Additional chips can be purchased for $10 per 100 chips. Collect raffle tickets with your winnings for prizes! Ice Cream Voting: Vote for your favorite flavor upon arrival. The top flavors will be made live using liquid nitrogen at 8:30 PM. Raise-the-Paddle: Help support the museum’s programs and exhibits by participating in this fundraising segment at 8:00 PM. Silent Auction: Bid on unique items and experiences. Auction closes at 8:00 PM.

How will the Silent Auction work?The auction will feature items, gift cards, and experiences. Bidding opens at 6:00 PM and closes at 8:00 PM. Be sure to place your bids early!

What is "Raise-the-Paddle"?At 8:00 PM, guests will have the opportunity to support the museum's programs and exhibits, including the transformation of the retail space into the new Enchanted Forest exhibit, opening in 2025.

What is the event schedule?6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Gaming, drinks, food, silent auction, and ice cream flavor voting 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM: Poker Tournament 8:00 PM: Silent auction closes 8:00 PM - 8:30 PM: Raise-the-Paddle and speaker presentation 8:30 PM - 9:15 PM: Liquid nitrogen ice cream making and sampling 9:00 PM: Check-out opens for auction winners and final donations 9:30 PM: Poker tournament winner announced, casino games close, dancing 9:45 PM: Casino prize drawings 10:00 PM: Gala ends

How will proceeds from the gala be used?Your participation in the gala helps ensure that nearly 15,000 children and families who rely on our free or reduced-price admission programs can continue to access these opportunities. Additionally, your support will help us transform our current retail space into the Enchanted Forest exhibit, opening in 2025, where children can explore their creativity, imagination, and storytelling abilities.
