Meet Team SCCMOD

(aka "The MOD Squad")

The foundation of any successful organization is its staff, and MOD is proud to have some of the most dedicated and engaging employees. Each one brings special and unique skills to provide a safe and engaging environment for you children. Whether it is opening, closing, cleaning, or caring, the MOD Squad will ensure that you and your children have a safe, engaging, and educational environment.

Rose

Packard Consultant

Hello, my name is Rose Martin and I am working as a consultant for MOD under a grant from the
Packard Foundation. I have been a child development specialist, educator, family resource supporter
and nanny for over 15 years and a patron and member of MOD since its beginning. I see children as
our greatest teachers and I am always in awe of what they are capable of. They offer reflections of our
inner selves, and require us to show up for them and ourselves in a way that is truly unique to being a
parent or an important person in a child's life.

Rhiannon received her PhD from the University of California, Santa Cruz and the Center for Informal Learning and Schools. She has worked with the Exploratorium, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the San Jose Children’s Discovery Museum and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology Citizen Science Department to understand how informal learning opportunities can support complex conservation thinking and activity. She currently leads the YardMap Network Project at the Lab of Ornithology at Cornell Lab, a program that utilizes community members to teach and understand more about the impact of land-use on bird populations. She lives with her husband and two young children in Santa Cruz.

Jeanette

Membership & PR Coordinator

Jeanette is the mother of two squirrely boys and initially got involved with MOD as a loyal member. Her background is in print journalism, business and performing arts, which she is thrilled to bring to MOD! Jeanette practices Permission Marketing techniques (as a student of Seth Godin) all while working to invent her own category of experiential guerrilla marketing. If you read the enews, follow MOD on social media platforms, interact with our website and/or participate in other forms of communication with the Museum, chances are you've chatted with Jeanette!
